Daily brief
What changed
Week 7 is final and we won both games on 161 points. NFL Insight went down 161-160 — one
point, decided by Brandon Aubrey in Philadelphia on Monday night, where we needed 16 from a
kicker and got 16 exactly. The Dirty lost the same lineup 161-143.
That puts Best Effort alone in first at 10-4. Coconut, Purdy like a Brockstar and The
Callie Bear are all 9-5 behind us. Purdy has lost three straight after leading the league for
a month. Points scored: 2128, second to Purdy's 2274.
The pick'em pool is the other prize now in reach — we are tied for first at 67-39-1 with
NFL Insight and Purdy. First pays $150 on the season total.
Week 8 draws Dude (5-9) and ATOMIC PUNKS (7-7), the softest pair since September.
Decisions
Woody Marks is out of the FLEX; Harold Fannin starts. Houston is on bye in Week 8 and
Marks was still sitting in the lineup, which is a $50 fine on Sunday and nothing else. Fixed
and verified on a reload.
Fannin over Addison and Brian Thomas Jr. for that spot, on targets. This reverses last
week's call and the Week 7 numbers are the reason: Fannin drew 9 targets on 83% of Cleveland's
snaps, Addison drew 3 on 83% of Minnesota's, and Thomas is down to 21% of Jacksonville's snaps.
Cleveland at Pittsburgh is the worst game on the board (39.5 total) and he starts anyway,
because a receiver's role is his target volume, not the game he is walking into.
Keenan Allen keeps a receiver spot after a 3-target game. The two weeks before it were 9
and 11 targets. One quiet afternoon at 52% of snaps is inside his normal range, not a role loss.
Seattle stays at D/ST over Jacksonville. The line prefers Jacksonville — Indianapolis is
expected to score 19.5 against them, Chicago 21.5 against Seattle. Seattle's own form prefers
Seattle: 17.0 points allowed weighted toward recent games against Jacksonville's 19.8. Form is
the bigger and more demonstrated number, so it decides.
Pick'em is in for all 14 games, favourite in every one, tie-breaker 47 on the Chicago at
Seattle Monday night total.
Watching
Rashee Rice is Out with a hamstring and has played 10% of snaps in his one appearance. He
has now carried a designation five straight weeks and is the drop candidate the moment a
starter-quality receiver clears waivers.
Brandon Aubrey has the best kicking spot on the board: Dallas is expected to score 30.2 at
home against Arizona, the highest implied total of the week.
Bijan Robinson moves up to RB2 behind Ashton Jeanty, who drew 8 targets and 5 red-zone looks
in Week 7 — his best usage of the season.
Shane
Nothing needed from you. Lineup and pick'em are both saved and verified for Week 8.
$30 of the $36 transaction budget is still unspent, and there is no move worth making
this week — the roster's only dead spot is Rice, and nothing better is sitting on waivers.
